Experience Myanmar Group Tour

Day 1: Arrive Yangon (-,L,D)

After pick up from the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. After check in and lunch at your hotel, Proceed to visit the Kandaw Gyi Lake together with the Karaweik Park. Then visit the reclining Buddha in Mega Size named Chauk Htat Gyi which is 256 feet (About 70 Meters) long. Finally you will visit the famous Shwedagon Pagoda decorated with Gold Leaf and Gold Plates during the setting sun is a wonderful moment to enjoy the alteration of lustre and the tones of its gold colour according to the brightness of the sun could last in your forever lasting memory.

Day 2: Yangon – Bagan ( B, L, D )

This morning, you will be transferred to Yangon Airport for the morning flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, your car and guide will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.

Then you will stroll through the colorful market of Nyaung U and explore the archaeological fields of Bagan. Between the 11th and 13th century one of the greatest and most beautiful cities of Asia was located at this field and decorated with more than 13000 temples, pagodas and monasteries. Around 2000 religious buildings are preserved. Visit the Shwezigon Pagoda which was built in the 11th century, the Gubyaukgyi temple with its famous mural paintings and the Htilomino temple which reaches a height of 46 meters. In the afternoon continue to the well-known Ananda temple which once set the architectural benchmark in Asia. Later see the holy Manuha, Nanpaya and Myinkabar Gubyaukgyi.

Then continue by horse cart for a tour passing Thatbyinnyu, the highest temple in Bagan, massive Dhammayangyi Temple, noted for its remarkable brickwork, and Sulamani Temple. Board a local boat for a slow cruise down the Irrawaddy River.  As you cruise the waters, observe the lifestyle of the fishermen and riverside villagers as well as enjoying the unique perspective of Bagan’s temples. Return to your hotel this evening.

Day 3: E-bike tour in Bagan ( B, L, D )

After breakfast, you will be enjoying e-biking experience in the Bagan Plain, visiting the rural village of Minnanthu, one of Bagan’s least visited areas.  Here you will explore temples such as Payathonzu, Lemyentha and Nandamannya. 

It is suggested to return to your hotel to avoid midday sun and continue exploration of more temples in the area in the late afternoon, visit more craft shops or temples and enjoy the sunset before returning to your hotel.

Day 4: Fly to Mandalay & Sightseeing Mandalay ( B, L, D )

This morning, you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight to Mandalay. Upon your arrival, your guide will meet and greet at the airport and transfer to your hotel for check in. Continue to Mahamuni Pagoda. This pagoda is home to one of the country’s most revered Buddha images which, over the years, have been covered with gold leaf giving it an almost ‘lumpy’ texture. Mandalay is well known for its skilled craftsmen and as you tour traditional workshops, you will learn more about the city’s cottage industries. Observe the production of wood carvings, kalaga tapestries, and gold-leaf where the techniques remained unchanged from those used centuries ago to craft items for the Royal Court.

Next visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda, whose 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures have earned it the title ‘World’s Biggest Book’. Walk onwards to Shwenandaw Monastery, the only remaining building from the 19th century Royal Palace. This grand teak building is known for its exquisite woodcarving.

Head to the top of Mandalay Hill as the sun begins to set to enjoy magnificent views of the city and Irrawaddy River.

Day 5: Mandalay - Sagaing – Ava- Amarapura – Mandalay ( B, L ,D )

Transfer to the airport and fly to Mandalay. Upon arrival you start an excursion around Mandalay to explore the former capitals of Ava, Sagaing and Amarapura. You will first drive to Ava, the capital from 14th to 18th centuries, where a short ferry ride will take you across the river for a horse and carriage tour. Visit the old wooden Bagaya Monastery and the remains of the Royal Palace and Fort. There are many small villages located amid Ava’s ruins and as you travel by horse and cart you’ll get a glimpse of local life in the Burmese countryside. Then cross a bridge over the Irrawaddy River to Sagaing, the religious center of Myanmar. Covered with 600 white-painted pagodas and monasteries, it is home to 3,000 monks and 100 meditation centers. You will visit pagodas such as Swan Oo Pon Nya Shin and U Min Thone Sae. You’ll also visit Sagaing’s market, for a range of items for sale including locally made pottery, silver and other handicrafts. We will also stop at a small pottery village to see the process of making the water pots found throughout Myanmar Return toward the city and stop at Amarapura, the ‘City of Immortality’. Visit a silk weaving workshop which produces exquisite handmade products and Mahagandayon monastery, home to over one thousand monks. Then, continue on for a stroll across the 200 year old, teak U Bein Bridge. 1.2 kilometers in length, it is the world’s longest teak span.

Overnight in Mandalay

Day 6: Mandalay – Heho – Inle Lake (B, L , D )

After breakfast, transfer to Mandalay Airport for a flight to Heho where a scenic one-hour drive leads to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway village to Inle Lake. Along the way, stop at the wooden Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery which features beautiful carvings and a collection of Buddha images. Start with a visit to the Nyaung Shwe morning market where

locals gather every morning to buy and sell fresh produce from the lake and its surroundings. Take a tour by local trishaw the bustling canal and watch the boats unload their produce for distribution to markets around the country. Visit the ‘tomato house’, a warehouse where produce is sorted and priced for sale. Upon reaching the edges of Inle Lake, board a private motorboat for a river cruise past Intha villages built on stilts over the lake and floating garden. Also, observe the leg-rowing fishermen. Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary, housing five sacred Buddha images covered too much in gold leaf and make the Buddha Images to disappear its, original shape and form instead become look like a big chunk of Golden Mushroom. Then return to land for your overnight stay.

Overnight in Nyaung Shwe

Day 7: Inle Lake – In Dein – Inle Lake ( B, L , D )

After breakfast, visit the lake’s morning market. The market rotates its location around the lake’s villages so as to be accessible to lake inhabitants and surrounding hill tribes who come to sell and trade their wares. (Note: market is daily except on dark moon day and full moon day). Travel by boat to the Pa-oh Ethnic village of In Dein. Strolling around the village, visiting a local school and the beautiful Alaung Sitthou area, Climb the covered to the top of a hill which is filled with ancient stupas and has magnificent views of the lake below. Return to your boat continues along the lake for additional sightseeing before returning to your hotel this afternoon.

Day 8: Inle Lake – Yangon, Night tour in Yangon ( B, L, D )

You may have free morning after the breakfast. You may enjoy walking around in town or take a leisure before your departure. You will be dropped off at the airport according to your departure time.

Upon your arrival in Yangon, You will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. Then in the evening around 5:00pm you will be picked up to enjoy food and culture tour in Yangon. Firstly, at 6 PM from our meeting point, we will have a chance to walk to the small street of food stalls, you’ll explore many different kinds of food from our handpicked locations. Continue the trip, and we’ll taste the Samosa salad, an appetizer that will be hard to forget, one of the most highly recommended street foods in Myanmar available in two different forms – soup or dry. Then we will head to a popular local tea house shop where you can enjoy one of the best noodle dishes with a cup of Myanmar tea. You’ll see how the locals spend their time in the tea house shops. And then we will take a break on the flyover to enjoy the view of downtown Yangon and give you a chance to take some pictures and let the food digest. Next stop is big Burmese curries where you will try black bean sauce meat and famous Burmese salads and vegetable dishes.   Finally the tour will end with a sweet dessert. You will experience at least 10 different types of food and snacks and we hope you will have the perfect Burmese dinner cuisine. This tour ends around 08:30pm.

Overnight in Yangon

Day 9: Dala Half day Tour ( B, L, D )

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the Nanthida Jetty to board a ferry to cross the Yangon River to Dhala. The jetty is often buzzing with activity as a mini-street market is there to sell snacks and other items to the ferry passengers. The boat ride to Dhala takes 15 minutes and offers great views of the waterways as well as a fun chance to interact with the curious locals as they make their way across the river.

Upon reaching Dhala, travel by local trishaw through the town. The scenic town is remarkably different from nearby Yangon, with many trees, local neighborhoods and quiet side streets filling the area. While in Dhala you’ll visit the market and have plenty of opportunities to stop and interact with the friendly locals.

After visiting the village and market, proceed to the monastery to learn about monastic life in Myanmar. The monastery also serves as a community centre and is an important part of rural Burmese life.

Return by boat to Yangon and head to a local restaurant for lunch. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 10: Yangon departure (B, L, -)

After breakfast and upon your departure flight time, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Yangon. We wish you an enjoyable trip in Myanmar that you could bring lots of happy memories back home.
