Suu Kyi meets Boris Johnson in Nay Pyi Taw 3932

Aung San Suu Kyi has received Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP, UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs this morning at around 9am at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw, the official capital of Myanmar, according to the ministry.
        Senior government officials including Union Minister Kyaw Tin for International Cooperation joined the meeting.
        They frankly discussed the latest situation and progress of Rakhine State and the government’s plan for re-accepting returnees [from Bangladesh], the ministry said.
        Boris Johnson was on a four day tour to Asia (started on 9 February) where he will visit Myanmar, Bangladesh and Thailand.
