The Myanmar U-18 men’s and U-19 women’s teams, that won in international competitions were awarded K93 million.
The award ceremony was held at a hotel in Yangon on May 7, where both teams received the prizes that were contribute by donors.
The Myanmar U-18 men who won the Hong Kong Invitation event was awarded K15 million by AYA Bank and K15m by the Myanmar Football Federation.
The U-19 women’s team which qualified for Asian Football Confederation’s U-19 Women’s Championship was awarded K20 million by chairman of the Myanmar Football Federation and U Aung Ko Win, chairman of KBZ Bank, K20m by AYA Bank, K20m fdrom the Women’s Football Committee and K3m from Fortune TV.
U Soe Myat Min coached the men’s U-18 team that won the Jockey Club International Youth Invitational Football Tournament 2019 after beating host Hong Kong 2-0, Singapore 2-1 and played Vietnam to a 0-0 draw.
TheU-19 women will compete again in the AFC tournament after losing to Australia 3-1, beating Uzbekistan and Nepal 1-0 and 2-1 respectively in qualification hosted by Myanmar.
The men’s team will compete in the ASEAN U-18 tournament which will take place in Vietnam from August 4 to 18 and the women’s team will compete in Asia U-19 Championship to be held from October 27 to November 9 in Thailand.
