Orange Jelly

Myanmar jelly can be various many different kinds. Depending on ingredient add to the jelly such as fresh fruits, fruit juices, coffee taste will b different. Some people make layer by layer as creative. This desert can also be found in food donation ceremony.


Jelly Powder - 3 packs (each 25 g)
Sugar - 980 g
Orange Juice - 1 litre
Salt - little
The following is the instruction of how to cook step by step in English
  1. Put mixture of jelly powder and sugar into one tray.
  2. Add small amount of salt.
  3. Stir it thoroughly for the mix powder.
  4. Put 3 litre of water in a pot which is going to be used to make jelly.
  5. Add orange juice into water and boil it while stirring at moderate heat.
  6. When it is boiling, add mix powder and boil it. Keep stirring it while heating it.
  7. After 10 minutes of heating, you may see the floppybits of mixture posticking onto the solid spoon as shown in picture above. It indicates that you can stop boiling.
  8. Remove the mixture from the pot to a tray and leave it cool down for half an hour.
  9. When the mixture is solidified, orange jelly is ready to be served and you may cut them into various shapes.
